The business of the church and fulfilling our mission statement takes diverse talents and many hands. Bethel has many ways for you to become involved! From opportunities to serve on the leadership groups of our congregation, sing in the choir, volunteer for Sunday school, to helping with occasional cleaning projects or providing meals for those in need - the list could go on. Whatever your talents, interests, or experience may be, we have a place for you!
Property and Cemetery Committees
Bethel’s Property Committee is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all of the church facilities, equipment and grounds with the goal of keeping Bethel a safe as well as beautiful place to worship and meet. If you'd like to participate in landscaping, repair, or property upkeep, please contact David Chaney through the Church Office.
This committee provides opportunities for Christian fellowship in the life of the church and focuses on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of Bethel’s members and friends. This committee plans functions as well as maintains the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area. It includes activities such as planning and organizing for special services and commemorations, sponsoring tours, picnics, and new member welcomes events. Worship and Music
The Worship and Music Committee of Bethel Lutheran Church serves as both an oversight and advisory committee for the Pastor and Music Director around the worship and music life of Bethel. The committee sees to it that weekly services of worship are held, in addition to services on festival days and other special events. This committee also oversees the many ways to serve at our worship services.

Bethel Lutheran Church places a high value on Christian education and the spiritual care and nurturing of our congregation. The Christian Education Committee develops and supervises the educational programs of both our children and adults, including Sunday School, Vacation Church School, Confirmation and First Communion instruction, and Bible Study. The committee is also responsible for program and activities for youth grades 6-12. Bethel ‘s Evangelism committee works to promote the spiritual growth and fellowship of the congregation and to attract all people to God’s calling. The Evangelism Committee regularly reaches out to friends and visitors who worship with us, and develops programs to inform the community about Bethel, our worship services, and our many ministries and fellowship activities. Stewardship is the committee charged with reminding the congregation to say “Thank You!” to God for all of His gifts to us. The Stewardship Committee offers programs that encourage the congregation to contribute financially and to become active participants in the life of the Church by informing them of the many opportunities to share their time and talents within the congregation as well as the community. Continually during the year, the committee will stress the importance of member participation in all activities of the congregation and the importance of the individual’s pledge to the work of the Church. Budget and Finance
This committee is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial affairs of the congregation in accordance with the by-laws and constitution of the congregation and the approved budget. They work closely with the other committees in developing program budgets and prepare the annual budget for submittal to the Congregation. This committee is responsible for Outreach of the Congregation into the community and around the world, supporting ventures such as Habitat for Humanity, We Care, Souper Bowl, World Hunger and Global Missions. The committee is also concerned with the sick, hospitalized and shut-in members of the congregation through People Enjoying People, Prayer Chain and other socially concerned groups.
