Congregation Ministries
Crafty Group
The Craft Group meets once a month. Anyone and everyone are welcome to bring your projects. We have some who are interested in learning to sew. If you are interested let Pastor Megan know and bring your machine. We have a few willing teachers who can get you started. If you have other skills and gifts for crafting, join us and share your talents! We look forward to this time together in fellowship and crafting. Anyone is welcome to bring your projects for this time together to craft and fellowship. We have sewists, quilters, crocheters, and more. There is no limit to your creativity. Join us!
Music & Worship
Music is an important part of worship at Bethel Lutheran Church. If God has given you a musical gift, we have a place for you to use it! We welcome participants of every age in our programs and are excited about developing new opportunities for anyone and everyone to participate in our music ministry. Our organist, Julia Parker, is eager to work with individuals and groups to bring new life into Bethel’s music ministry.
Bethel Book Group
Bethel Book Group meets every other month to discuss the current chosen book.
Order a copy of the selected book and join us for our discussion!
Pub Theology
Pub Theology brings people from different ages (spanning 50 years) and backgrounds together to discuss faith and life in a fun and safe environment. Questions might be lighthearted or deeply theological. It just depends on the night and which question is drawn!
Lutheran Men in Mission
Bethel’s Lutheran Men in Mission is open to men of all ages who want to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to strengthen the spiritual development and witness of men and to provide support to mission congregations throughout the South Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Bible Study
Pastor Megan leads a Bible study focusing on the scriptures for the following Sunday. We gather in the conference room on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM. The Spirit is always at work and our discussions lead us in fascinating directions each time we meet. No previous Bible knowledge is needed. Come with an open heart and mind, ready to learn.
Evangelism
The Goal of the Evangelism Committee is to
welcome visitors into the full fellowship of the
Congregation. If you have any questions about
Bethel, please reach out to any of the members.
The JOY Team
Bethel has a new “Older Adult Ministry” called the Joy Team. It is aimed at fellowship, friendship, and good old-fashioned fun.
If you’re near or beyond 55, come on!
Stay tuned for more events - riveting speakers, tapping your toes to good music, putting your talents to work in the community, or day trips to interesting places.
