Bethel’s Lutheran Men had another successful project!

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the Bethel Lutheran Men, with the financial support from the Bethel Endowment Fund, replaced the handicapped ramp for a community member.

Pastor Megan, Sally Hiatt, Sandy Olson, and Sarah Cheesman attended the SC Synod Assembly. Pastor Megan served as co-chaplain alongside Pastor Ginger Litman-Koon, leading worship and offering prayers throughout the assembly. We elected our new bishop, Pastor Wade Roof of Mt. Tabor in West Columbia. He will begin September 1. The theme was Created to Create. We learned a lot about the church in our state and the many ways God’s people are serving our neighbors. Ask any of us about the assembly to discover our favorite takeaways about what our siblings in Christ are doing across the synod.

A group of seven dedicated souls completed First Aid Training at Bethel Lutheran Church on June 20. It was a full morning of training including CPR and the use of an AED, but there was also plenty of time for friendship, fellowship and fun along the way.

Bethel will participate in the observance of National Preparedness Month in September with a variety of activities and our theme for the month is “Be Aware & Be Prepared.”

One of our own is 100 years old on May 12. Happy birthday Brigette!
